THIS WOULD LOOK FANTASTIC IN YOUR MODERN NURSERY

Approx Measurements - 27" wide x 32" tall - Needs a space at lest 30 inches wide to move freely! The components are the thickness of one credit card on edge to keep the sculpture light and moving in very soft air currents. (There must be some air flow in a room for a mobile to move).

I have had quite a few requests for solid colored sculptures. Now I present a new line of sculptures. Same great designs but in solid colors. The components are created with an acrylic molded plastic material, very similar to the thin cutting boards you find in the housewares section of your favorite department store. Extremely light, cleaning friendly, and made to last and last. This new line of solid color sculptures can be placed in higher moisture areas like your porch, patio kitchen, or bathroom. But, like a fine sculpture, it should not be kept within reach of a sweet baby's hands.

THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
I can't wait to wake up in the morning and get into my studio! Yes, its true! As of 01/11/2013 I now create these sculptures full time. It is sheer joy that drives me to create these beautiful sculptures! For each sculpture I begin by cutting the shapes and then carefully connect them to the stainless steel wire. Then a perfect balancing act begins while I twist and bend the wire into perfectly balanced sculptures.

Upon completion, I sit back and watch the movement, making sure it flows nicely and is interesting to watch. Each one is made one by one, handmade with quality and love. The wire is stainless steel. They are very well made and should last for many many years and quite probably a lifetime. My influences are Timothy Rose, Bruce Gray and of course the master, Alexander Calder!

Thanks to the Mississippi Arts Commission for making the continuation of my work and progression of my artistic development flourish with their approval of a mini-grant in 2010 and 2011! I am very grateful!
