Gold and Violet – Large Hand-Painted Evolon Mobile
Some pieces are designed to quietly become part of a room.
This one-of-a-kind kinetic mobile began as an original hand-painted abstract painting on Evolon, a remarkable non-woven textile that offers exceptional strength, stability, and incredibly light weight. I chose Evolon because its unique qualities allow movement to become part of the artwork itself, creating a sculpture that responds gracefully to even the gentlest air currents.
Each painted element was individually cut, balanced, and suspended from hand-formed stainless steel rods. As the mobile slowly turns, the warm golds, soft violets, and rich earth tones continually create new relationships of color and balance.
Its larger size makes it equally at home in a living room, reading nook, entryway, dining room, or any modern space where gentle movement becomes part of the atmosphere.
Because every mobile begins as an original hand-painted artwork, no two will ever be alike.
