Whisper of Air – Hand-Painted Evolon Mobile
Some sculptures seem to wait patiently for someone to walk by.
Whisper of Air is one of those pieces.
I hand-painted each component on Evolon textile, an extraordinary synthetic fabric that is incredibly strong while remaining remarkably lightweight. That means this mobile responds to the faintest movement in the air. A nearby doorway opening, a ceiling fan on low, or someone simply walking through the room is often enough to set it gently in motion.
Every painted element began as an original acrylic painting before I carefully cut, balanced, and assembled the sculpture by hand. The flowing stainless steel rods allow each form to move independently while remaining in harmony with the whole, creating an ever-changing composition that is impossible to experience exactly the same way twice.
The soft greens, blues, and warm golden tones remind me of sunlight filtering through leaves, water reflecting the sky, and quiet moments outdoors. Rather than demanding attention, this mobile slowly reveals itself over time as light and movement continually reshape the composition.
Because every piece is hand-painted, this is a true one-of-a-kind original artwork.
The balancing rods are handcrafted from stainless steel for strength and elegance. Your mobile arrives ready to hang and includes a hanging hook, ceiling anchor, and drop-down extension rod for easy installation.
