Purple Rain – Hand-Painted Desktop Mobile

I created Purple Rain as a small moving composition for a tabletop. Measuring approximately 12” tall by 12” wide, this tabletop stabile is mounted on a solid 2” x 1” painted steel base, providing sturdy support while allowing graceful motion. The actual moving mobile is approximately 7” x 7”.

I cut each component from cotton illustration board and paint it individually with acrylics as part of my original artwork, making every mobile a one-of-a-kind kinetic sculpture. I balance the hand-painted components on stainless steel rods, allowing the sculpture to move gently with the surrounding air.

Please Note: For indoor display only. Not a toy — keep out of reach of children and pets.
