Floral Study 3 Sunflower - 8 x 10 acrylic - palette knife loose flower

Floral Study 3 - I have been chasing a loose sunflower for years without much success.  After painting the flower I wasn't happy with it so I decided just to cut loose and try a few things in the background for the fun of it. It turns out I liked the flower just fine, it was the background that was stiff.  Now its one of my favorite paintings.
