Getting Hot In The Shop!
As my mobiles get larger my skills must grow too. Bronze brazing steel more and more this summer. The difficult part is learning new skills and then not having enough time to actually perfect them. I currently sell most of my mobile sculptures on Etsy and they are made to order meaning that my customers dictate how much work I have at any given moment. I need to change this way of working to selling only items that are in stock and ready to ship. Getting to this point, daring to be brave enough to take all of my made to order mobiles off Etsy and only offer that service on my website is challenging. But, some day soon I’m going to need to take that leap of faith so I can skill build and evolve. Goal, make outdoor mobiles out of painted steel. It will happen next year for sure!
