Hanging Mobile Carried on the Wind Kinetic Sculpture
Some paintings ask to be framed. Others seem to ask for a little freedom.
Carried on the Wind began as an original acrylic painting on heavyweight 420 lb watercolor paper before I carefully cut the finished artwork into individual forms and balanced each piece by hand into a kinetic sculpture. Every painted element was once part of the same composition, and together they continue telling that story through movement.
I love the gentle sweep of the stainless steel rods in this mobile. Instead of rigid geometry, the flowing curves allow the painted shapes to drift, sway, and slowly change relationships throughout the day. As sunlight moves across the colors and the slightest breeze sets the sculpture in motion, the artwork quietly reinvents itself again and again.
No prints, no reproductions, and no duplicates—this is a one-of-a-kind original moving painting, created entirely by hand in my studio.
The balancing rods are handcrafted from stainless steel for strength and elegance. Your mobile arrives ready to hang and includes a hanging hook, ceiling anchor, and drop-down extension rod for easy installation.
Whether suspended in a living room, reading nook, bedroom, office, or gallery space, this sculpture brings gentle motion, vibrant color, and a sense of calm to the room.
