Confetti Theory – Original Hand-Painted Mobile
Confetti Theory is color, shape and movement having a very good time together.
This one-of-a-kind mobile began as freely painted abstract artwork filled with pink, turquoise, violet, yellow, orange, green and blue. I selected portions of those paintings and cut them into an assortment of organic shapes, circles and open forms before balancing them on a hand-formed stainless steel structure.
As the individual elements rotate, colors disappear and reappear, painted surfaces overlap visually, and the negative spaces become part of the composition. The result is an artwork that never looks quite the same twice.
Approximately 22" wide × 22" tall, Confetti Theory has enough presence to stand alone as an original piece of contemporary art while retaining the lightness and movement that make mobiles so captivating.
