Electric Meadow – Original Hand-Painted Mobile

Electric Meadow is bright, energetic and unapologetically colorful, combining vivid yellow, fresh green and saturated blue in an original kinetic sculpture.

Each mobile in my Hand-Painted Series begins as an original abstract painting. Rather than painting a repeated design onto individual pieces, I select areas from the finished painting and cut them into individual elements. Each therefore becomes a tiny composition of its own.

Those painted forms are balanced on hand-formed stainless steel arms that move independently in gentle air currents, continually changing the relationship between color, shape and open space.

Measuring approximately 27" wide × 18" tall, Electric Meadow has a broad horizontal profile that works especially well above a desk, console, reading chair or other furniture.
