I love watching a painting continue to evolve after the brushes have been put away.
This one-of-a-kind kinetic mobile began as an original abstract painting on heavyweight 420 lb 100% cotton watercolor paper. Rather than remaining on the wall, the painting was carefully cut into individual elements and transformed into a balanced kinetic sculpture that continues changing with every gentle movement of air.
Each painted form is individually hand cut, balanced, and suspended from hand-formed stainless steel rods. As the mobile slowly rotates, new relationships of color, shape, and negative space emerge, making the artwork feel different throughout the day as the light changes.
The rich weight of the 420 lb watercolor paper provides beautiful stability while allowing the painted surfaces to remain the focus. Warm reds, earthy golds, and soft greens create a palette that feels equally at home in contemporary interiors, reading nooks, living rooms, entryways, or creative spaces.
Because every mobile begins as an original hand-painted artwork, no two will ever be exactly alike.
