Tranquility – Colorful Abstract Acrylic Painting on Cradled Panel | 24 x 36
Tranquility
Original Abstract Acrylic Painting by Carolyn Margaret Weir
24” x 36” x 1.5” | Acrylic on Cradled Panel
Color moves like a current through Tranquility, winding, circling and flowing across the surface in layers of turquoise, blue, pink, violet, yellow and green. Hundreds of individual brushstrokes follow shifting pathways through the composition, creating a sense of movement that is energetic yet unexpectedly peaceful.
Rather than depicting a particular place, Tranquility suggests the feeling of one—water moving around a bend, light filtering through a landscape, wind traveling through trees, or simply the quiet rhythm of being outdoors. The imagery remains deliberately abstract, allowing the viewer to discover their own landscape within the painting.
Painted in acrylic on a 1½-inch-deep cradled wood panel, this original 24” x 36” contemporary painting has a substantial profile and can be displayed without a traditional frame.
